AUTHOR ENTRIES FOR CATALOG RECORDS [10 Mar 2007]

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

AUTHOR ENTRIES FOR CATALOG RECORDS: Thank you for raising your question on a catalogue record. Books are catalogued and processed according to established international cataloguing rules. For books that have more than 4 authors or more, in order to reduce processing time, the standard practice is to include just the first author. You can consult the catalogue records of the same title from other university libraries. They just include Ai Yun'er as the author.

Due to special consideration of the fact that you are one of our staff members and may ask your students to read the book, we could make an exception to the rules by including more authors' names back to the Lingnan Library catalogue record for facilitating access.

I learn that our Cataloguer, Amy Sin, has already contacted you. She will proceed to amend the record and provide additional access points. Please let us know if we can assist you further.
