ALUMNI BORROWING PRIVILEGES (27 FEB 2012)

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

Thank you for your following suggestion to the Library. As a general rule, all UGC Libraries give a greater privilege to staff and students who make use of library materials for research and learning purposes. Lingnan is no exception to this rule. In our case, an alumni can use AV materials in house for 3 hours, not one hour as you mentioned below. Furthermore, the Library opens until 8 p.m. during the weekends, Saturday and Sunday. So alumni should have sufficient time to finish watching a movie or listening to a CD even though he comes late in the afternoon. AV materials are in heavy demand. At this moment we do not have a plan to extend the privilege for alumni on this type of materials. However, the Library will continue to review and adjust our loan policy to assist users from time to time. We certainly would take your suggestion into consideration in our next review exercise.

Regards,

Tommy Yeung

Associate Librarian
